Carlton B. is a servant leader who works as a scientist, educator and entertainer.
My primary reason for going into entertainment is to fund the scientific and educational vision I have for my community and beyond.
I dream of providing high quality early childhood education programs and eventually a charter or private school that cultivates youth who pursue excellence in daily living.
To help achieve this goal I launched the non-profit Excellence In Motion INC. as a vehicle to raise awareness and sustenance for the vision.
Biography
How I got here
Carlton Boleyjack is a servant leader at heart. A Nashville native who attended West Meade Elementary School, Meigs Magnet for middle school, and graduated from Hume-Fogg Academic High School. "I was lucky in my education experience –I went to great schools that showed me what a great education can do."(Carlton B) He grew up in 37208 not far from Historic Jefferson Street, Fisk University, and Tennessee State University. He would later finish a degree in chemistry with a concentration in education at Tennessee State University. In 2023 he completed his masters degree in business management from Trevecca University. He also completed Leaderships Essentials at Belmont University.
Carlton has been a classroom teacher, math coach, after-school director, registered daycare owner, civil servant and manager or consultant in art, tailoring/costume, retail, restaurants, promotions, music production, event planning, team building, web design, print, and publishing.
In his latest career Carlton was an Assistant Treatment Plant Manager for the City of Nashville, TN. In that capacity he helped to manage the city's water and sewage systems and work with community stakeholders to ensure public health and safety. Carlton was exposed to and helped in managing and maintaining multi-million-dollar facilities, budgets, and construction projects. He holds grade 4 licenses in the state of Tennessee in both water and wastewater treatment. He has received numerous awards and recognition throughout his life. He has hundreds of hours of continuing education training. His exposure to both private industry and government will aid in the guidance of EIM.

We as a community are still digesting the confirmation of many years of over policing and underfunding. 37208 and 37209 have a rich history that goes beyond incarceration and poverty. It is a place of renaissance and forward thinking. It is also an hour from the birth place of the KKK (a hate group) in a city that was essential to winning the civil war of the United States.
